Volunteerism:

Giving back to my community is an important aspect of my life. I am proud to serve as the board president for coLAB Arts, a nonprofit organization based in New Brunswick, NJ that engages artists, social advocates, and communities to create transformative new work. coLAB Arts facilitates creative conversation through innovative programs and artist infrastructure, connects artists with community partners and mentors, and executes productions that challenge perceptions and inspire action. Learn more about coLAB Arts and support them here.

I also volunteer as a Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate with the YWCA Northern New Jersey healingSPACE—Bergen County’s only Sexual Violence Resource Center. healingSPACE is a safe and welcoming place for survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones.

Lastly, I volunteer as a clinic patient escort at a local reproductive health center, helping patients enter and exit the facility safely and with support so they may receive the medical care they need.

Fun facts:

You can spot me for about one second in the Academy Award-nominated film Maestro, directed by and starring Bradley Cooper as the iconic American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. Find me in the choir during the rehearsal scene for "Make Our Garden Grow" from Bernstein's opera Candide. It was so much fun filming this and seeing how everything works behind the scenes of a major movie!

I appear on an episode of Relative Race, a BYUtv reality show where four teams embark on a life-changing journey as they race to find their long-lost relatives. I was contacted by one of the show's genealogists who told me that I had two twin cousins who had been adopted as infants and who were trying to find their biological families through the show, and I was asked if I would be willing to participate. How could I say no to a once-in-a-lifetime unique opportunity like that? It was incredible meeting my two relatives for the first time and helping them piece together some missing information about their past. You can find me in Episode 4 of Season 8 (at 23:50 if you want to jump right to it)!

I've lived in New Jersey my entire life! While you may not think that's a point to brag about, let me assure you that New Jersey is far more than what you see driving on the NJ Turnpike or Garden State Parkway. There are majestic mountains, lush forests with scenic hiking trails, picturesque farmland, beautiful towns and vibrant cities, gorgeous beaches, the Jersey Devil lurking in the Pine Barrens, etc. I will fight anyone who wants to talk poorly about my beloved state - as any true New Jerseyan would.

I love baking sourdough bread. That's it, that's the fun fact.
